Parr's Then ... And Now
Mr. Parr (Bill) apprenticed for 5 years starting in 1955 under the watchful eyes of Fred A. Musselman. Fred and his son Dale were the owners of Fred A. Musselman Co. In 1960 Bill took and passed the Allentown Journeyman's Test. In 1962 Bill took and passed the Allentown Masters test, the law at that time put that masters license in escrow as no two people could hold a masters license in the same shop. In 1969 Bill founded Parr's Plumbing And Heating got his license from escrow and was given the license number of 205 which is still used today. The next 42 plus years Parr's has done many a job in the Lehigh Valley some as far as Harrisburg. We have plumbed all the Brookhaven Homes. In some we did the Hydronic Hot Water Heat. Many a store retrofit in Trexler and Tilghman Square Malls, thousands of plumbing repairs, bath and kitchen remodels, and a whole lot of others.
Now Bill has had a stroke, this happened while on vacation in Florida in March of 2011. A long period of hospital and therapy was required to bring him back. Now he is again functioning, has been evaulated for driving, is driving and has even worked a few jobs. But no more big contracting -- all work will be just service and repair. There are others that he will recommend if he feels the job is to big, or beyond his capabilites. Mr. Parr is thankful that the memory part of the brain or his speech was not affected by the stroke. Want to ask questions, want advice, specifications written just call. After all you, our customers, made us sucessful. For that we thank you and God willing we are going to stay around a bit longer.
