EMERGENCY
WATER LEAK ...
If you are having a water leak, look for a valve under the fixture. Turn it clockwise to turn it off. If it won't turn go to the basement or the place in you home where your water meter or pump tank is located the valves there should turn all the water in your property off. Valves turn clockwise to shut off. If they are a lever type [ballvalve] when the handle is at a right angle to the the valve the valve is off.
BLOCKAGE ...
Try to determine if just some lines are blocked or the total drainage system is blocked. If just a partial system blockage is present, use only the fixtures that will flow away. Be cautious as to what is draining away. Water will find it's own level and could be flooding a lower level with continued use. Do not use DRAIN SOLVENTS to open a completely blocked drain and never pour a drain solvent down a disposal. You will ruin the disposal and void the warranty.
SMELL GAS ... Evacuate the premises immediately!
Leave the doors open. Do not turn on any lights or use the telephone. Go to a safe location. Call 911, or your local police, fire department and gas supplier. Do not re-enter the property for any reason until told by the authorities to do so.
